About Rita
My name is Rita, and I co-own Silver Hearth Home Solutions alongside my husband Douglas, who leads our day-to-day work.
As a Certified Aging in Place Specialist, I bring both the training and the heart to assess what a home truly needs. I’ve seen firsthand how the right modification can give someone their independence back. A grab bar that prevents a fall, a wider doorway that fits a wheelchair, a bathroom redesigned so staying home is actually possible. These aren’t just renovations. They’re how people hold onto the life they’ve built.
My role keeps me mostly behind the scenes, but when I walk through your home for an assessment, I take that seriously. You’ll always have a team that listens, explains, and never rushes. Because we believe your home holds something worth protecting.

About Douglas
My name is Doug, and I’m the co-owner and hands-on lead at Silver Hearth Home Solutions.
I’m a licensed general contractor with over a decade of experience in high-quality residential construction, including custom home builds, full-scale remodels, and specialized work across many trades. I’m also a Certified Aging in Place Specialist, which means I bring both the construction expertise and the specific training to make homes safer and more functional for the long term.
What I’ve learned through years of detailed, quality-driven work is that it lives in the details. I take my time, I explain what I’m doing and why, and I won’t cut corners to move faster. Good work and good communication go hand in hand for me.
